Ecology
It is estimated that Polish women “produce” round 2 milliards of used sanitary towels every year. In turn, statistics connected with disposable nappies’ usage are even more shocking. It is considered, that an every child wears nappies until the age of 2,5 and uses round 6 nappies a day. It gives us several billions of nappies throw to dumps every year!
As we can see, for personal hygiene manufacturers it becomes a huge task to prepare such methods of production and utilization their own products, which could be the least disruptive for the natural environment.
Hygienka as a manufacturer of disposable nappies and sanitary towels with global reputation, tries to cope with environmental challenge in the multifaceted way.
Proecological actions are manifested primarily in:
- using in the production process top-class facilities, guaranteeing savings of energy, water and wood,
- reducing to a minimum unnecessary chemicals, artificial dyes and fragrances used in products,
- conducting researches in order to find new ways of safe products’ utilization,
- posting on packages of sanitary towels and nappies, instruction how to deal with waste products,
- taking part in planting new trees,
Moreover, not without signification to the environment protection is a fact, that production of sanitary towels and nappies by Hygienka takes place in Poland, and not as it is in the case of other leading branches, in United States of America. In his way, problem of transport (especially aerial) to Europe disappears , and what follows, the irrevocable loss of enormous doses of energy.
In the future, Hygienka will try its best to cooperate with ecological groups, in order to produce and promote new products, which will retain advantages of its predecessors, while at the same time, they will increase the level of environmental safety.
